The splicing price includes an allowance for the additional cost of the extra rope used in splicing and in forming a soft eye up to a maximum length of 12" or 300mm.
All splices are a minimum of 4 full tucks plus one taper tuck. 10, 12, 14 are 4 full and 2 taper tucks,16mm and upwards is 4 full and 3 taper tucks
Splicing rope for main halliards can be problematic if your sheave box is small - sometimes the additional thickness of the splice which can extend up to 250mm will not pass over the sheave. There is normally no problem with jib halliards.

Our splicing service is only available on new ropes at the time of their supply by us - sorry, we don't splice used rope or rope supplied by others.
